Expanding Access to Palliative & Hospice Care in Philippines

partners, launched the National Faculty Development Program to strengthen palliative and hospice care nationwide.

Key highlights:

  • Training & Mentorship: Developing a pool of faculty who will serve as trainers and mentors, ensuring palliative care expertise reaches hospitals and communities nationwide.
  • Benefit Package Roll-out: Equipping the health workforce for the upcoming Philippine Palliative & Hospice Care Benefit Package, expanding access to families and communities most in need.
  • Government Commitment: The Department of Health reaffirmed its commitment to making palliative and hospice care an integral part of the national health system.
