Our Impact

The Lien Collaborative for Palliative Care (Lien Collab) was launched in Myanmar in 2013 and later in Bangladesh, starting with small teams of 5-6 expert doctors and nurses. Its focus was on equipping local healthcare practitioners through institutional partnerships and training programs. As the program's success in advocating palliative care became evident, Lien Collab expanded to other developing countries with limited access to palliative care. To date, it has made a significant impact in partner countries and aims to sustainably expand its reach:

  • Coverage over 8 countries and expanding

  • Regional presences in 41 union territories across Asia

  • Established across 139 institutions

  • Equipped 450+ trainees
