CTC3 Refresher Course for India. 11 cancer treatment centres participated in the Refresher training despite telecommunication issues and air traffic suspension concerns in Jammu and Srinagar. The faculty also reviewed the programme and started planning for CTC4 in 2020.

CTC4 Foundation Course – 15th to 19th January 2020

This was the 4th run of the Cancer Treatment Centre (CTC) project in India. It started with a Foundation Course taught by 15 faculty members with support from programme directors. The training accommodated a record 17 Institutions from a waiting list of 21 institutions and a record 63 participants attended the training.

On World Cancer Day 2020, the Department of Medical Oncology at Goa Medical College (India) organized a Continuing Medical Education activity to highlight and discuss issues about end-of-life care in various situations. The event was attended by 215 participants.

Team-based Palliative Care Training by Master Trainers in Sri Lanka (21-25 Oct 2019)

The training was conducted by 17 local master trainers from Sri Lanka whom were trained during our Sri Lanka Train-the-Trainers programme from 2014 to 2017. 61 participants from 21 institutions attended the training - mainly comprising of consultants, medical officers and nursing officers from Palliative Task Force of Sri Lanka and other palliative and cancer care associations.
